LLMs are slow. Period. When a user requests an AI generation, asking them to stare at a generic spinner for 15 seconds is a surefire way to kill engagement.

We handle this by streaming responses whenever possible, but even before the stream begins, we utilize Optimistic UI. We immediately acknowledge the action, show skeleton loaders, and provide dynamic "thinking" states that explain *what* the AI is doing.

2. Structured Outputs are Mandatory

If your application logic depends on an LLM's output, you cannot rely on unstructured text. We strictly enforce structured JSON outputs using tools like OpenAI's function calling or Zod schema validation combined with frameworks like Vercel AI SDK.

This guarantees that the AI's response can be predictably parsed and piped directly into standardized React components, entirely eliminating the risk of malformed text breaking the UI.

3. Graceful Degradation and Fallbacks

What happens when the API is down or rate-limited? Your application should not crash.

We build fallback mechanisms into every AI feature. If a summarization fails, we fall back to a traditional heuristic-based excerpt. If a generation fails, we offer clear, actionable error messages rather than generic 500 pages.
